Summary of Academic Career

Social work profession being Multidisciplinary has made a teacher of Biology like me to work in Social Sciences.Due to its broad horizon it has helped me to work in the areas of Feminism, peace, Ecology,Correctional field work, Legislation, Rehabilitation, Violence against women, Trafficking, Child Abuse, Special Children's like physically and mentally challenged , Health, Poverty and much more. The inclusive nature of Social Work is making us to challenge prejudices, inspire Learning and be more relevant in Contemporary Society. 

Social Work deals with Social and Economic advancement of Humanity , so it compels us to work with Government machinery, UN organisation, Social Scientist, and NGOs. It make us to work in the areas of Developing studies that would support and benefit the marginalized communities of the society. It has it own tools ,techniques and skills that helps in creating safer environment by passing the unsafe work practices and unacceptable decisions.

Today's Contemporary world has made we Social Scientist as Public Intellectuals who have to work with the people of all ages to understand their perspective and have to discover new insights to make their lives more effective.we have to critically protect modern transparent democracy and monitor how transformation occurs by producing new insights to bring the people at par.Academically I have delivered  papers in National and International Seminars on the above said areas.
