MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS: (Present position):

• Initiatives towards Internationalization including development of International Students Cell. Enhance international students’ admission, conducted series of academic and research activities with International Universities such as joint conference, joint research and publications.

• Development of state of art research facilities including development of Central Instrumentation Center for Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation.

• Development of state of art library facilities including Wi-Fi access, e-resources, digitization of library and its use, augmenting capacity of reading room and inculcating reading culture.

• Development state of art ICT infrastructure for academic, research and administration. Initiative to develop data center and specialized ERP in all affairs of university.

• Introduced skill and outcome based curriculum and effectively implemented CBCS, credit transfer from other universities and SWAYAM / NPTEL and others as per UGC guidelines.

• MoUs with 40 reputed National and International organizations and Industries such as Atomic Miner Division, Department of Atomic Energy, Hyderabad, INCOSIS Hyderabad, FTI Pune, NGRI, and National Center for Seismology, NCL etc. and foreign universities.

• Development of state of art campus by constructing roads, academic, research and amenities facilities and enhanced students experience on campus.

• Impetus on programs initiated at national level such as ‘Make in India’, ‘Digital India’, ’Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and making yoga, sports and culture as a sustainable movement.

• Motivating the students with special events focusing the role models such as celebration of 125^th birth anniversary of Bharatratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

• Initiative in Development of Guru Govind Singhji Adhayan Sankul and Research Center, SB Chavan Adhyasan Kendra and SB Chavan Competitive  Examination Center.

• Motivated and organized academic & research activities such as conferences, workshops, research, sports and culture events under the banner of “Azadhi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”

• Promoting research culture through Research Colloquium Activity, Conferences and Workshops, Incubation Centre, Botanical Garden and Biodiversity Park.

• Establishment of Section 8 Company named CABIIF of the university and 15 start up have been on board and working toward outcomes.

• Initiated special schemes such as Research Semester Scheme, MRP etc and financial assistance schemes for teachers and students of university and affiliated colleges.

• Promote online teaching during Covid-19 pandemic by providing training to teachers across pan India on effective use of ICT tools for online teaching learning.

• Development of Centre for Excellence in Seismological Studies in association with NGRI (National Geological Research Institute) Hyderabad. This center is used for monitoring Lithospheric Structure and local seismicity which is mapped to understand seismological aspects in the region and providing in time information to district administration.

• Initiative for establishment of university sub campus at Parbhani and further approval from Government of Maharashtra. Strengthen sub campus at Latur and NMD College, Hingoli with development of academic and research facilities and administrative decentralization.

• Initiative to use non-conventional energy sources and installation of 287 KWP Solar Power Plant on campus catering 40 % of energy requirement of campus and motivated colleges to opt for.

SOCIAL INITIATIVES:

• Developed swap testing facility for Covid-19 detection during April 2020 with existing Laboratory facilities and human resource. Laboratory approved by ICMR and NABL accredited for Covid-19 detection. Has tested 4.57 lakhs samples and save lives of thousands of people in Latur, Nanded, Parbhani and Hingoli districts.

• Initiated Rain Water Harvesting on campus and created facility to store 50 crore liter water. Helped to motivate stakeholders and many of them following in draught prone area. UNCOPS in support of Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India awarded Jal Prahari award for this contribution.

• Initiated ‘Green University Clean University’ scheme and planted fifty (50) thousand trees on campus and foster a sustainable learning environment and contribute to support climate and environment. Played a significant role in raising awareness about environmental conservation, reducing carbon footprint and inspiring future. University has been recognized for this contribution with International Green University Award-2023. This award will be presented at the 7^th NYC Green School Conference on the sidelines of the 78^th United Nations Assembly session on September 15, 2023, in New York City.
