Greetings to one and all !
Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded is heading towards its silver jubilee with an 'B++' grade by the NAAC. The challenge for all its stakeholders is to continue striving towards excellence by enhancing teaching-learning and research, adopting innovative ideas and by ensuring equity and all-inclusive approach for the betterment of society. There is need for focusing on the development of sub-centres at Hingoli, Parbhani, Latur and Kinwat. Enhancing infrastructure facilities and developing a green-belt zone would surely add to the overall ambience of the university.
The university has to its credit a few patents but our efforts for internationalisation need to be pursued rigorously. The number of quality research publications at the international level ought to be multiple times. Promotion of interdisciplinary studies and basic and applied research will surely be encouraged. I appeal to all students and teachers to give their best so as to enable the university to carve a niche for itself while attaining greater heights in higher education.
Extension activities and tie-ups with reputed national and international institutes for teacher and student exchange programs need to become a regular phenomenon. We shall work accordingly. Attracting more international students to our university is also our priority for which we are committed. Deliberate attempts are also required for fund-raising and the university administration will work on it.
The need of the hour is to implement skill-based programs thereby raising the employability value. I’m committed to hassle-free and speedy administration and propose to pursue a time-bound approach for addressing vital issues related to the students. I’m sure you (all students) will all enjoy your stay over here and leave the university with greater wisdom and courage to embark upon the challenges of life.
