Application for Admission to Ph.D. Program 

(PET 2022 Exemption category)


SRTMU, Nanded is inviting application for Admission to Ph.D. Program for the academic year 2022-23 from the candidates having qualified GATE, JRF, GPAT, Inspire, selected through QIP and ADF in the subject for which PET 2022 examination was conducted (refer e-prospectus). Candidates are expected to submit the hard copy of application (Format is attached herewith) with required documents to the PG/PhD section of this university on or before 03/10/2022, after paying the application fees as mentioned in the e-prospectus/application form.  

The university would allocate them, the research supervisor keeping in line with the percentage of merit and state reservation policy.

Candidates those appeared for PET 2022 and passed the examination under PG pursuing (appeared) category must submit their PG marks & also upload marks memo by using their respective Login on or before 24.09.2022. 


Ph. D. Entrance Test – 2022 (PET – 2022)  

Important Instructions: 

1. Admit card (Hall ticket) of PET 2022 Examination (Phase -II) will be made available in candidates login once the schedule of said examination is declared. 

2. If there is any complaint/grievance regarding the question paper of PET 2022 exam, it should be submitted on This email address is being protected from spambots. Ph. D. Entrance Test – 2022 (PET – 2022) Eligibility and Registration Fees

The SRTM University is conducting its 10th Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET), by online mode only. Interested eligible candidates seeking admission to Ph.D. course (including those requesting for exemption from the PET examination) may apply online at the official University website https://www.srtmun.ac.in  or  https://pet.srtmun.ac.in/login during the stipulated period. Applications received after the deadline and incomplete applications in any respect, shall not be accepted or entertained.


For admission to the Ph.D. Program in a subject under any faculty of this University, the candidate must hold the Master’s Degree (PG)in the concerned subject with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grades for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/ OBC/NT (A)/NT(B)/NT(C)/NT(D)/SBC/EWS categories with valid Non-Creamy Layer wherever required. Further, minimum 55% marks or equivalent grades for General (Open) category candidates are required.

The Final Year PG Student can apply for PET-2022 examination. However at the time of allocation his/her result have been declared and he/she must be successfully passed PG program.

Candidates passed CGPA/ CBCS Examination must submit Equivalent percentage certificate. Conversion of CGPA/ CBCS to Equivalent percentage of Mark’s if found to be incorrect application will be rejected.

Registration cum Examination Fees and Mode of Payment:

The candidates applying for PET 2022, including those who are requesting for exemption from PET-2022, need to pay registration, processing and examination fee as per the mode of payment mentioned in this e-prospectus.  

Procedure for Submission of Application for PET-2022:  

Application for PET-2022 Online Examination or Exemption must be submitted to the University through online mode only by visiting the University website https://www.srtmun.ac.in or https://pet.srtmun.ac.in/login on or before the deadline. Before applying for the same, the candidates are suggested to check the conditions of eligibility, available subjects, vacancies, etc. All such details of the same are given in this prospectus.

The SRTM University, Nanded, through PET-2022, invites applications from the eligible candidates in two separate modes:  

  1. By appearing for the PET-2022Examination 


  1. By requesting exemption from the PET-2022Examination.  


If a candidate wishes to apply for both the modes i.e., PET-2022 Examinations as well as requesting for PET exemption, he / she must apply separately by paying appropriate registration fee.

Candidates applying for the second mode i.e. exemption from the PET-2022must ensure themselves that; they fulfill eligibility condition for the exemption as listed in this prospectus.
