Aims & Objectives:
Aims:
- To promote mental, physical & social well being of students, research scholars, teachers, nonteaching staff and their dependents of this university.
- To impart health education to students and employees of this university for better health and prevention of diseases.
Objectives:
- To provide outpatient services for students, research scholars, teachers, nonteaching staff and their dependents of this university.
- To provide referral services for patients who need specialist treatment.
- To arrange ambulance for transfer of patients to the govt. medical college & hospital located within 0.5 KM of university campus.
- To arrange periodic specialist consulting services at health centre for students, research scholars, teachers, nonteaching staff and their dependents of this university.
- To provide medical assistance to various cultural and sports activities in university campus.
History of Health Centre:
- Initially there was only contractual medical officer in the health centre, but latter on full time post Medical Officer is sanctioned by state Govt. of Maharashtra . Now there is one Medical Officer in Health Centre.
- In due course of time, one contractual nurse and Pharmacist are recruited in the health centre..
- Since establishment, health centre is providing consulting in outpatient services and medicines free of cost to students, research scholars, teachers , nonteaching staff and their dependents of this university.
- Health centre has provided medical assistance to all cultural and sports mega events hosted by university.
- Health centre has arranged interactive health education lectures in small groups for students, research scholars, teachers , nonteaching staff and their dependents of this university.
OPD Time: 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM and 3.30 PM to 5.30 PM

State Level Sports Competition “Krida Mahotsav “ was arranged in this University which was attended by students all over Maharashtra. Health Centre provided health facilities to these students and treated 1121 students for various sports injuries and diseases. Team of doctors and paramedical staff was outsourced from Govt. Medical College, Govt. Ayurved College, Civil Surgeon and District Health Officer. Four Ambulance were kept ready 24 X 7 during the event. |

Future Plans:
- Health centre is planning to begin weekly stress management clinic with the help of honorary psychiatrist.
- Health centre is going to maintain health database of all employees of university for ready referral in case of emergencies.
- Health centre is planning to publish a booklet on myths and facts about health safety with special emphasis on HIV/AIDs and sexually transmitted diseases.
- Health centre is planning to arrange periodic mammography and pap smear camps for female employees at minimal rates for early detection of breast and cervical cancers.
