The School of Media Studies was established with the aim of offering quality education, training, and research in the dynamic field of media and communication. The journey began in the academic year 1999-2000, with the launch of a Postgraduate course in Library and Information Sciences. In 2008-09, the school introduced the M.A. in Mass Communication and Journalism, and later, in 2014-15, it expanded further with the launch of the M.A.\/M.Sc. in Electronic Media.
