Spacious and well-equipped classrooms, Smart Class rooms, IT Lab having PC\u2019s with latest configuration with 24 hrs. Internet facility, laboratories, amphitheater and dining hall with lots of natural light. The medium of instruction is English. Residential facilities exist from IVth standard onwards, with spacious and separate dormitories for both boys and girls. Well-qualified teachers and experienced administrative staff ensure efficient running of the school. Facilities for sports include well appointed and laid-out grounds and tracks. University has 300 plus affiliated colleges under its jurisdiction offering 146 programmes with student strength of 1.63 lakhs and 4000 plus students through distance education mode offering programs in science and technology, humanities, commerce and management and interdisciplinary studies. University hosts more than 70 foreign students across five countries. University received financial assistance from RUSA, DST, UGC, etc. for development of academic infrastructure amenities, research and extension activities. Teachers have invented, patented and commercialized many ideas. Teachers have got research projects worth Rs. 12.5 crores, whose academic and social value is remarkable. Teachers and students have many publications in peer reviewed journals to their credit and received recognition at the national and international level. University has a Centre of Excellence in Seismology, advanced research instrumentation facilities, collaboration with Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics and MoUs with national and SWAYM, and other MOOC platforms. As a result, there is good enrolment for these courses. The University has been adjudged as an \u2018Active Local Chapter\u2019 by NPTEL, IIT Madras. SRTM University has signed a MoU with the Virtual Labs project, an initiative of MHRD, NMEICT, IIT Delhi, and IIT Bombay. This will allow a paradigm shift in ICT-based education in the university. With the mission of drought-free Marathwada, the University has started the Soil and Water Conservation Project and created facility to store 10 crores litres of water on campus. Under the Green University &#8211; Clean University Initiative, the university has inaugurated the 33-crore tree plantation program and the Bio- Diversity Park. The university has installed a 287 KW capacity roof top solar power plant which caters to 40 % of the electricity requirement of the campus. This is grid connected and is synchronized with existing diesel generating sets.   During the COVID-19 pandemic, the University has organized three one-week faculty development programs in the month of April, May and July 2020, and trained 17000 teachers across the nation on the use With the mission of drought-free Marathwada, the University has started the Soil and Water Conservation Project and created facility to store 10 crores litres of water on campus. The university has installed a 287 KW capacity roof top solar power plant which caters to 40 % of the electricity requirement of the campus.
