About the Sub-Centre, Kinwat
The Late Shri Uttamrao Rathod Tribal Development and Research Centre (LSURTD&RC), Kinwat, functioning under Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, is a pioneering institution in Maharashtra. The Centre is distinguished by its unique foundation, strong infrastructure, academic excellence, and deep commitment to social responsibility.
Established during the 2017–18 academic year by the Government of Maharashtra, the Sub-Centre was created in response to public demand and university recommendations. Its primary mission is to support and nurture students from the Kinwat region.
Specialized undergraduate and postgraduate programs, namely:
· Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W.) – Intake 40 Seat
· Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) – Intake 40 Seat
Situated in a NITI Aayog-notified Aspirational Block, the Centre plays a crucial role in bridging the higher education gap among tribal youth. In this remote and forested region, geographical isolation and socio-economic challenges often force students to discontinue their education. Many talented students are compelled to migrate to distant cities under difficult circumstances to pursue higher studies.
To address these challenges, the Government of Maharashtra has provided: ✔ Land for institutional development ✔ Financial support for construction of the main building ✔ Salary grants for 15 staff members
These initiatives ensure the sustained growth and impact of the Sub-Centre in empowering tribal students through quality higher education.
केंद्राबद्दल
लातूरमधील पेठ येथील स्वामी रामानंद तीर्थ मराठवाडा विद्यापीठाचे उपकेंद्र हे त्याच्या उत्पत्ती, पायाभूत सुविधा, शैक्षणिक क्षमता आणि सामाजिक जबाबदारीप्रती संवेदनशीलतेसाठी महाराष्ट्र राज्यातील अद्वितीय आहे.
लातूर विभागातील विद्यार्थ्यांना पदवीनंतर विशेष अभ्यासक्रमांमध्ये प्रोत्साहन देण्यासाठी, पाठिंबा देण्यासाठी आणि पोषण देण्यासाठी विद्यापीठ व्यवस्थापनाच्या शिफारशीनुसार आणि जनतेच्या मागणीनुसार महाराष्ट्र सरकारने २००७-०८ या शैक्षणिक वर्षात हे उपकेंद्र सुरू केले.
दिले जाणारे अभ्यासक्रम
कालावधी:-२ वर्षे
पात्रता :- कोणतीही पदवी
सेवन क्षमता :- 40
कालावधी :- ३+१ वर्षे,
पात्रता :- बारावी,
सेवन क्षमता :- 40
आदिवासी विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी UPSC/MPSC परीक्षेची तयारी.
- पुणे येथील आदिवासी संशोधन आणि प्रशिक्षण संस्था (TRTI) द्वारे प्रायोजित.
- पात्रता: कोणताही पदवीधर.
- सेवन क्षमता: २५ जागा (१००१ टीपी३टी जागा आदिवासी विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी राखीव आहेत.)
- प्रवेश प्रक्रिया: राज्यस्तरीय प्रवेश परीक्षा घेण्यात आली.
- मासिक वेतन: पुस्तकांसाठी रु.६०००/- स्टायपेंड: एका वर्षासाठी रु.६०००/-.
- परिणाम: हे प्रशिक्षण आदिवासी विद्यार्थ्यांना UPSC/MPSC परीक्षेत पात्र होण्याची संधी प्रदान करते.
